Ben, the creative force and founder of Wandering Elephant, has a passion for food, particularly South-East Asian cuisine. He has extensive experience in the hospitality industry, having honed his craft over years in restaurants, teaching cooking classes, and catering events. Growing up, he learned all things Thai food from his talented Thai mother, who was a master chef in her own right. He has been perfecting his style in Thai and Malaysian cuisine.

Mel is a passionate wine connoisseur who is dedicated to finding the perfect drop for any occasion. With extensive experience in restaurants and fine dining, she is skilled at curating wine menus that complement Chef Ben’s culinary creations. Whether you’re interested in discovering a cold climate Pinot from Murrumbatemen, a funky Pet Nat from the Adelaide Hills, or a classic Syrah from Margaret River, Mel can help you select the perfect wines for your event.
Elliot | FOH
Elliot is a bartender with years of experience both behind the bar and in the kitchen. Fresh from a recent residency in Tasmania, where he connected with some of Australia’s best distillers, he brings a unique knowledge of brews and spirits that will make your event extra special. When he isn’t behind the bar, Elliot can be found perfecting a pickle or developing delicious flavors at the Fermentation Station to accompany Wandering Elephant’s menu.
